Malecia Adu writes about her Telly Faces
experience
Gaining my TV presenter experience and doing
my show reel with Rod Lucas was by far a
truly amazing experience. It was an absolute
pleasure to spend the day with Rod. He
really put a lot of time and effort into the
day and was full of ideas and with his help
and guidance I managed to put a nice little
package together. I really did get a taste
of what life would be like as a TV
Journalist/presenter and my experience
started weeks before we met as I had to do
research.
I love his passion for what he does and his
straight talking really guided me and gave
me a clear understanding of what would be or
will be expected from me should I ever be
lucky enough to gain a career out of this.
What I love about Rods training session is
that it really is all about you and the fact
that you are outside on location presenting
something real. You are not inside with a
bunch of other students doing "role play" I
felt like a presenter for the day and Rod
gave me such confidence and I just
absolutely love his way of teaching.
I would recommend this course to anybody who
is considering getting some show reel. You
won't get better than this and the amount
that you learn in a day is unbelievable. Rod
really put a lot of his time and effort into
the day and does his absolute most to help
you get the most out of it. He also gave me
some really good advice and I love his
straight to the point no nonsense approach.
He was easy to get along with, fun,
entertaining and REAL. I came away thinking
it was all a dream.
At Telly Faces you'll learn how to be a TV Presenter
and look relaxed in front of a camera, how to
interview people, also how to talk to time and memorise
lines. You'll learn how not to look awkward in the TV
course. We'll also
teach you how to use your voice for TV presenting and
what to do with those hands. It's all part of our TV
presenter training courses and TV Reporter coaching.
We'll show you
what you can expect on film shoots and above all your
Telly Faces Director will do his best to draw out your
Unique Selling Point (USP). This is crucial for success.
TV Presenter Training with Telly Faces.
Having just a pretty face won't make you
a TV presenter, you'll need other talents too, including
personality. Because TV presenting requires much
personal skill we don't think it can be taught as a
"group session" so all we do is one to one under the
coaching skills of Rod Lucas.
